Your Donation at the “Friend Of OPARC” Level ($1,000) Will Provide Speech Pathology Lessons For One Client For One Full Year!

“I believe in teaching each individual to communicate in the most effective way possible, whether it be through signing, gestures, words, or using augmentative communication devices.”
Joyce Corjon, Speech Pathologist

A significant number of OPARC clients experience either partial or total inability to communicate verbally. Communication is an essential part of living, making possible the expression of desires, the sharing of emotions, and the transmission of vital information regarding health and other personal conditions. Unless mitigated by other communication methodologies, this disability materially detracts from the quality of life.

“As his speech has improved, my son’s options and his happiness have increased immeasurably. I know what a profound effect such a service can have on a client’s life. Nothing is more important than to be understood.”
Cindy Fabricius-Segal

Speach Pathology Student in the OPARC program

The goal of this program is to enhance the communication abilities of clients, to “normalize” their lives as much as possible. Clients who participate in this program will be able to take part in all kinds of activities common to all people, including working and socializing with friends.

It is our goal to make speech pathology services available to as many clients as possible, given our financial capacity.
