Luke Campbell Donald was born on the 7th of December 1977. He is an English professional golfer. He has his membership in both the European Tour and the PGA Tour.

The year 2011 proved to be extremely awarding for the talented golfer who has been ranked 1st by the official world golf rankings. He has won several tournaments and awards that very year. He created history by becoming the first ever player to win both the money lists on the PGA and European Tours the very same year. He won both the PGA tour money list and the European Race to Dubai.

He is the first English upon whom the PGA Tour Player of the year has been bestowed upon. This lead to his achievement of the honorary life membership of the European Tour in 2011.
After winning the BMW PGA Championship, at Wentworth club on the 26 May 2011 Luke Donald became the 1st rank holder in The Official World Golf Ranking. Which was consistent for 40 weeks between May 2011 and March 2012. On 27 may 2012 he again won the BMW PGA Championship and regained his number one world rank.

He has a total of 7 European tour wins in a span of 8 years that started with the 2004 Scandinavian Masters started by Carlsberg, where he defeated Peter Hanson to the first position and securing himself a place in world golf scenario. He has 1 Japan golf tour win (Dunlop Phoenix Tournament,18 November 2012) to his credit and many other small tour too. He recently sparked controversy when he appeared 6 months late to collect the award for his victory in Japan. The winner’s prize was queer, it included a cow besides the usual winner’s trophy and a check. In 2013 Luke Donald has opened the season at the Riviera Club in Northern Trust Open.
