Steve Stricker hails from US

Steve Stricker is an American professional golfer who is currently a member of the US PGA Tour where he has won twelve titles till date. His biggest successes have come in the World Golf Championship where he won the World Golf Championship – Accenture Match Play Championship in 2001 and he has also won two events on the FedEx Cup. 2009 was the most successful season for the veteran American golfer when he won three titles on Tour which saw finish at second on the overall money list.

Stricker reached number two in the Official World Golf Rankings which remains his highest ranking till date. However, he has spent 57 weeks inside the top 10 between 2007 and 2008 and another 157 weeks between 2009 and 2012, which is considered to be his most consistent period in golf.

The American turned professional in 1990 and he opted to join the Canadian Professional Golf Tour instead of the Nationwide Tour and he won two titles there. Eventully in 1994, Steve Stricker became a member of the US PGA Tour. However, he would have to wait two years before he could manage to win his first titles on the Tour and with two wins and seven finishes inside the top ten that season, he managed to finish at fourth in the money list for the year.

Apart from the 12 titles Stricker has won on the US PGA Tour, he is also the winner of another ten titles on various world Tours. He also has a T6 in the Masters, a T5 in the US Open, which Steve Stricker achieved twice, a T7 in The Open Championship and a T2 in The PGA Championship and is one of the biggest stars of the US PGA Tour who has never won a major title in his career.
